Selma Blair, the 54-year-old Hollywood actress known for the film Legally Blonde, reportedly went on a violent rampage while flying at high altitude. On the 11th, while aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York, she suddenly lost control, violently striking a flight attendant and biting another crew member; she even attempted to force open the cabin door mid-flight, terrifying everyone on board. After the plane landed at New York’s JFK International Airport, she was immediately arrested by police and rushed to the hospital.
According to various reports, the pilot alerted ground control mid-flight about an “unruly, violent passenger.” Blair not only assaulted the crew but also appeared to lose emotional control, repeatedly slamming her head against a cabin partition. Following the landing, two injured Delta employees were hospitalized, with one sustaining serious injuries. As the incident occurred mid-flight, the case has been handed over to the FBI for investigation; Delta Air Lines issued a stern statement reiterating its “zero-tolerance” policy regarding violence and illegal behavior on board.
A spokesperson for Blair confirmed the incident, explaining that she had “experienced a sudden medical emergency” which led to her loss of emotional control and erratic behavior; her condition has since stabilized.

In fact, this is not the first time Selma Blair has been involved in an incident of erratic behavior on an airplane. As early as 2016, she was hospitalized after screaming uncontrollably on a flight—an incident caused by mixing prescription medication with alcohol. In 2018, she was diagnosed with the rare disease multiple sclerosis (MS), which led to a gradual decline in physical function; in recent years, she has stepped back from the entertainment industry to focus on charitable activities.
